For over 20 years, my freelance work has included art and illustration – including book covers – for publishers such as Sterling, Schiffer, New Forest, and Dorling Kindersley (DK).
Originally from Belmont, Massachusetts, I’ve lived all over the U.S., with holidays in the U.K., Ireland, and Canada.
Growing up, my home was rich with art. Dad was a calligrapher and photographer. Mum graduated from Massachusetts College of Art, and studied with Emile Gruppe, Anthony Thieme, and Cyrus Dallin. Regular visitors to our home included watercolor artists Joe Santoro and Ruth Wynn.
My professional career began at age 14, when an art agent first approached me to illustrate for magazines and book publishers. Also as a teen, I created art installations for the Belmont (MA) public library system.
College years were spent at Colby-Sawyer and Harvard, with a few courses at M.I.T.
Decades later, I was one of the very first art bloggers (as Aisling D’Art) and served as the long-time moderator of Yahoo! Groups’ original AJ (art journaling and mixed media) community.

Today, I’m a wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother, and enjoying every moment of it.
