I have been a professional artist, educator, and writer for over 35 years in the Washington, DC area. However, I enjoy paint all across the United States. I began my artistic life as an illustrator studying design and drawing. However, I found I enjoyed fine arts, painting in pastels and oil painting large images of nature. I graduated from The George Washington University with a Masters Fine Art in painting in 1994. I paint “en Plein air” and in the studio where I can work large. I think of my work as “America slightly abstracted.
