Hi! I started my journey in mixed media after attending a Julia Cameron workshop titled “The Artist’s Way”. I am a self taught artist, attend workshops locally & out of state and I have been enrolled in several online digital art courses this year. I have exhibited in professional juried art exhibits, a local art gallery and fine art shows. I have been published several times in the ‘ Living the (photo) Artistic Life magazine and recently won Best of Show in the black & white category at the Fusion Art Gallery. I currently have a landscape design at the Blank Wall Gallery in Greece.(Oct 20-Nov 1, 2017). My workflow isn’t necessarily traditional or structured in the same way for each design but each piece starts with a base subject, involves manipulation of color, lighting, and special effects and ends with post processing.

Although my major interest at this time is digital art, I am still involved with traditional art and will be focusing on combining digital & traditional art in some form. I am an avid reader and have read at least 30 books this year. Mysteries are my favorite but I also read fantasy, science fiction & have a huge library of art and photography books. My hobbies include biking, theater and movies. I have two spoiled cats that help me while I am creating art. Art for me has been a meandering path of surprises and unpredictable outcomes!
