I live in Honolulu, Hawaii and I am a self-published author. I learned GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) so I could design my own book covers. GIMP is similar to Photoshop, but it is free. You do not need to pay for a subscription to use it. It was a steep learning curve, but after using the program for several years, it’s become easy – and I am now addicted to creating covers and eCards.
