Bernette Forde, a resilient Bermudian author, was born in Paget, Bermuda, a picturesque Island in the Atlantic Ocean. She is the youngest of eleven children born to Ivy Albertha and Author FitzGerald Tucker, sharing her position as the lastborn with her twin, Lunette Pacheco. Bernette’s life has been significantly influenced by her courageous struggle against her third occurrence of cancer, a topic she examines candidly in her autobiography titled *Reasons*.
A passionate Science Fiction enthusiast, Bernette has written several works in the genre, including the novels Floaters and Chuman. Her most cherished creations are part of the Nephilim Series, which comprises a trilogy with the titles Seventh Angel, Karen’s Legacy, and Aza’s Revenge. Among her works, Black Watch Pass holds special significance as it reflects her deep love for her native Island. Currently, Bernette resides in Coventry, England, with her family, her husband, two children and four grandchildren.
